Why hello there! Like BBC’s Sherlock? School, college or work getting you down? Want to take a break from it all but have no time for a full-length tumblr party? Fear not! Sophie and Fiona have just the solution for you, and it’s the Sherlock Weekend Wingding!

What exactly is this?

The Sherlock Weekend Wingding is a small tumblr party that will start on the 26^th of October and end on the 31^st, just in time for Halloween. Basically, for five days you and your team will submit as many Sherlock-related stories, art, songs, gifs, etc. that you can over five days, to the Main Blog. Each submission will earn you points, and the team with the most points at the end will be the champion. The winning team will get nothing but honour and the sweet, sweet satisfaction of being winners. What better reason to join?

Wait, 5 days is not exactly a weekend…

Why hello there, Mr Pedantic, nice of you to drop by. Each day, the teams will be given a prompt, while the last two days will be a bonus prompt. Bonus means you don’t really have to do it, so if you want to stick to just the weekend then that is absolutely okay too! We wanted something short to just have a bit of fun and make the best out of the space between series 2 and 3 of Sherlock.

You said something about teams?

Of course! It’s too dangerous to go alone; take some friends! You will all be organised into the four following teams:

Team Purple Shirt

Team Navy Westwood

Team Beige Jumper

Team Black Umbrella

Every team will have their own tumblr page where they can submit their work and a tinychat to discuss things at their leisure. We also recommend brainstorming ideas via titanpad, but more on that later.

It all sounds good; where do I sign?

It’s simple, all you have to do is send your username and your email in an ask, use the submit box, or email us at weekendwingding@live.com. If we don’t get back to you in 24 hours, please send it to us again cause the Internet gremlins will have taken it away. We are accepting submissions from now until the 22^nd of October, and the teams will be announced on the 24^th.

So that’s it. If this is not your first Sherlock party, then you know how much fun these things are, and if it is, know that you will get a lot of laughs and make a bunch of new friends. What do you have to lose (except a little sleep)? Hope to see you all there!
